PSV Eye Opportunity As Tchaouna’s Lazio Role Diminishes

Loum Tchaouna's shaky form this season has placed his future at Lazio under serious scrutiny. While the Biancoceleste celebrated a crucial 2-0 win over Genoa in Week 33, it also highlighted Tchaouna’s slipping standing within the squad. Coach Marco Baroni once again opted to leave the young Frenchman on the bench, preferring Adam Marusic on the right wing in place of the suspended Gustav Isaksen.

Baroni's choice reflects a growing lack of confidence in the 2003-born forward. Tchaouna had already drawn criticism for his underwhelming performance as a substitute during Lazio's Europa League clash against Bodo/Glimt — a night that ended disastrously with a missed penalty and elimination from the tournament.

Amid this uncertainty, rumors have begun swirling about a possible transfer. According to Corriere dello Sport, PSV Eindhoven have reignited their interest in Tchaouna. The Dutch powerhouse, who previously attempted to sign him on a loan deal with a €10 million purchase option in January, are reportedly preparing a new formal offer for the summer transfer window.

Tchaouna joined Lazio from Salernitana for €8 million last year, but so far, he has struggled to live up to expectations. With only two goals in 36 appearances across all competitions, the numbers paint a disappointing picture compared to the promise he once displayed at Salerno.

Despite this, Lazio are not rushing to sell. Club management is weighing two possible paths: sending Tchaouna out on loan to gain valuable playing time or keeping him on to see if he can find his form.
