Lazio Monitor Boca's Kevin Zenon As Hidden Gem Hunt Continues
Lazio are reportedly keeping close tabs on Boca Juniors winger Kevin Zenon, who has been turning heads with his performances in Argentina this season. The 23-year-old had previously attracted interest from Premier League side Newcastle United.
Zenon, a product of the Unión Santa Fe youth academy, joined Boca Juniors in January 2024 for €3.2 million. Since then, he has cemented his place in the starting lineup, making 12 appearances across all competitions and scoring twice.
According to Boca Noticias, Lazio view Zenon as a potential reinforcement for their squad. Club president Claudio Lotito and sporting director Angelo Fabiani are actively seeking under-the-radar talents who could develop into key players, and Zenon is seen as a strong candidate for that strategy.
The Argentina U-23 international is under contract with Boca until December 2028, but interested clubs have the option to trigger his €15 million release clause. Earlier this year, Newcastle United had reportedly shown interest, particularly impressed by his technical quality and powerful left foot. Although Zenon has been used mainly as a central midfielder this season, his natural role remains as a left winger.
