[Serie A] Milan - Lazio = 1 - 2
AC Milan suffered a 2-1 defeat against Lazio in the Italian League, struggling after being reduced to 10 players.
The match at San Siro on March 2, 2025, was marked by protests from Milan Ultras, who deliberately entered the stadium 15 minutes late to express their dissatisfaction with the team's performance and management.
Despite playing away, Lazio posed a constant threat and broke the deadlock in the 28th minute. Mattia Zaccagni capitalized on a close-range opportunity, beating Mike Maignan with a precise left-footed shot.
Milan pushed forward in the final minutes of the first half but failed to find an equalizer.
The Rossoneri's situation worsened in the second half when Strahinja Pavlovic was shown a straight red card in the 67th minute for a foul on Gustav Isaksen during a Lazio counterattack. With a numerical disadvantage, Milan struggled to control the game and adopted a more cautious approach, relying on counterattacks.
Despite the setbacks, Milan managed to level the score in the 85th minute through Samuel Chukwueze, who headed in a cross to make it 1-1.
However, their hopes of securing a point were crushed in injury time when Pedro converted a penalty, sealing a 2-1 victory for Lazio.
With this result, Lazio temporarily climbed to fourth place in the standings with 50 points, while Milan slipped to ninth with 41 points, overtaken by AS Roma, who had earlier secured a 2-1 win over Como.
