During the Panini Tour event in Rome, former Lazio full-back Giuseppe Pancaro took time to speak with reporters, touching on key topics regarding Marco Baroni’s Lazio, including the team’s fatigue from a packed schedule and their outlook in the Europa League. Here’s what he had to say:

Reflecting on his Lazio days while signing memorabilia from that era, Pancaro shared:

"Those are unforgettable memories that still live within me. The pride and joy of wearing the Lazio shirt and achieving so much remain vivid and permanent in my heart."

On Lazio’s Europa League campaign and Baroni’s progress, he said:

"As a supporter, there's not only hope but also real confidence when it comes to Europe. Lazio didn’t reach this stage by accident—it’s been earned through hard work. Of course, there’s some natural fatigue now, especially with a limited squad. But there’s also hope the team can recharge and finish the season strongly, which could lead to some real satisfaction."

Addressing speculation about Baroni’s future despite the team’s overachievement, Pancaro remarked:

"Unfortunately, that’s the reality of being a coach. In my view, Baroni has gone above and beyond expectations, and the fans should recognize that. His work, along with that of his players, has been exceptional. There's no doubt about the quality of what they’ve accomplished so far."

When asked if Lazio are missing a player like him, he joked:

"I think it’s more that I miss Lazio than the other way around!"
