The Uncertain Path Ahead For Luca Pellegrini After Squad Exclusion

Lazio left-back Luca Pellegrini finds himself in a challenging situation after coach Marco Baroni unexpectedly left him off the team's roster during the most recent press conference, without providing any explanation. However, Baroni also hinted that Pellegrini’s return isn’t completely ruled out, noting that clubs are allowed to change two roster spots outside the transfer window.

Reports from Il Messaggero reveal that Pellegrini previously declined offers from Como and Beşiktaş, a decision that has only complicated matters given his current exclusion from Baroni's main plans. 

In an effort to resolve the issue, Pellegrini and his agent held a diplomatic meeting in Formello on Monday (10/02) to negotiate a speedy return. The discussion was aimed at easing tensions and finding a solution that benefits everyone, though there is still no strong indication that he will be reintegrated into the first team.

With his future at Lazio still uncertain, the next steps will largely depend on how the relationship between Pellegrini, the coach, and club management evolves in the near future.
