In an interview with Radiosei, former midfielder Fabio Liverani discussed potential substitutes for the Senegalese winger, weighing the options between Pedro and Dele-Bashiru. 

Liverani commented, "If Dia is out, I’d lean towards using Pedro today to boost his confidence. While Dele-Bashiru might be better suited for a physically demanding match, Lazio also needs creativity in midfield. Both options have their merits for different reasons. When comparing the work of Baroni and Conte so far, the context suggests Baroni's approach is preferable at the moment."

He added, "The Lazio–Napoli game is a key test for Lazio in the Champions League. The result is more important than just winning three points—it can lift team spirit and boost fan confidence. If Napoli don't win, they might lose some of their advantages.
