Liverani: "The Lazio–Napoli Game Is A Key Test For Lazio In The Champions League. The Result Is More Important Than Just Winning Three Points."

Napoli are set to travel to Lazio for the upcoming Serie A match. Meanwhile, the Biancoceleste are dealing with concerns over Boulaye Dia, who left the last match against Monza with pain in his right ankle. In an interview with Radiosei, former midfielder Fabio Liverani discussed potential substitutes for the Senegalese winger, weighing the options between Pedro and Dele-Bashiru.

Liverani commented, "If Dia is out, I’d lean towards using Pedro today to boost his confidence. While Dele-Bashiru might be better suited for a physically demanding match, Lazio also needs creativity in midfield. Both options have their merits for different reasons. When comparing the work of Baroni and Conte so far, the context suggests Baroni's approach is preferable at the moment."

He added, "The Lazio–Napoli game is a key test for Lazio in the Champions League. The result is more important than just winning three points—it can lift team spirit and boost fan confidence. If Napoli don't win, they might lose some of their advantages. In the past, Conte’s team have struggled against teams that play physically and aggressively, like Atalanta, Udinese, and even Lazio in their first meeting. Napoli have particular difficulty with opponents who combine high energy and strength; if the game slows down, Napoli could be in real trouble."
