Lazio Keen To Secure Nuno Tavares Permanently Amid Interest From Milan And Juventus

Lazio are reportedly determined to keep hold of their key defender, Nuno Tavares, amid interest from two top Serie A clubs in the upcoming summer transfer window. Marco Baroni’s side secured the Portuguese left-back last summer, and he has made a strong impact in his debut season.

Despite being sidelined by injuries in recent months, Tavares remains one of the standout performers in Serie A this season. He continues to lead the assist charts with eight assists, which has drawn attention from both AC Milan and Juventus.

As a result, Lazio are keen to trigger the purchase option in his contract and secure him permanently from Arsenal. The deal would cost around €6 million, a fee that the club considers reasonable.

According to Turkish journalist Ekrem Konur, Milan and Juventus are both monitoring Tavares ahead of the summer window. Milan could be in the market for a left-back if Theo Hernandez departs, while Juventus remains uncertain about Andrea Cambiaso, who is reportedly on Manchester City’s radar.

However, Lazio have no intention of letting go of one of their best players. Transfer insiders expect the Portuguese international to remain in Rome next season.

This aligns with Lazio president Claudio Lotito’s recent statements, in which he reaffirmed his commitment to keeping the club’s top players at Formello for as long as possible. Yet, it remains to be seen if European giants will test Lazio’s resolve with a lucrative offer.
