Boulaye Dia Sidelined With Sprained Ankle; Lazio Await Further Injury Assessment

February 10, 2025

The win at the Olimpico has reignited the Biancoceleste's ambitions. Scoring five against Monza and regaining fourth place, Baroni has every reason to be pleased with one of the season's finest performances, despite the Brianza side putting up a strong fight for much of the match.

However, amid the celebrations, Lazio will be missing one of their regular players, Boulaye Dia, who was injured during the game. Here’s the latest on his condition:

"He suffered a sprained ankle—it’s not too serious, but we took him off as a precaution. Thankfully, his ankle didn't swell up," said Marco Baroni regarding Boulaye Dia after the victory over Monza.

The Senegalese had to leave the pitch in the 35th minute of the first half after a collision with Izzo while attempting a shot on goal. In the next few hours, he will undergo further tests to determine the extent of his injury. Although the recovery timeline is still uncertain, it is likely that he will miss the upcoming match against Napoli.
