[Official] Luiz Felipe Chooses Marseille For His Return To European Football

Olympique de Marseille have announced their first signing of the winter transfer window. In a statement shared on their social media platforms this Tuesday, the club confirmed the arrival of Luiz Felipe, a seasoned and determined central defender who made a name for himself during his time with Lazio from 2017 to 2022.  

"The player Luiz Felipe Ramos joins the white and blue family," read the club's statement, officially welcoming the former Lazio player after a short stint with Al Ittihad in Saudi Arabia.  

This signing comes as a crucial reinforcement for OM and their coach, Roberto De Zerbi, who seeks to solidify the defense amidst challenges such as Lilian Brassier’s uncertain form, Bamo Méïté’s struggles, Chancel Mbemba's absence, and the inconsistent performances of Derek Cornelius and Leonardo Balerdi.  

While Luiz Felipe's addition wasn’t entirely unexpected, the responsibility now falls on him to demonstrate his abilities on the field and earn the trust of the Marseille fans.
