[Official] Lazio Appoint Sergio Pirozzi As Interim Primavera Head Coach

Lazio's Primavera team have appointed a temporary head coach, as announced on the club's official website. Sergio Pirozzi will step in to replace Stefano Sanderra, the current coach of Lazio's U20 squad, who is unable to lead the team for personal reasons. Despite this, Sanderra will remain part of the club's technical staff.

The club’s statement introduced Pirozzi as a seasoned football coach with a diverse background, including serving as the mayor of Amatrice from 2009 to 2019. In his coaching career, Pirozzi has primarily worked with Serie D teams, with brief stints in lower Serie C leagues. His most recent coaching role was with Alessandria in 2023.

Lazio's official statement reads:  

"S.S. Lazio announces that it has entrusted the technical guidance of the Primavera team to Sergio Pirozzi. Born in San Benedetto del Tronto and raised in Amatrice, Pirozzi temporarily replaces Stefano Sanderra, who remains a part of the Club's technical staff but is unable to lead the team for personal reasons."
