New Falconer For Lazio? Talks Begin To Restore Olympia's Legacy
Discussions have officially started to choose Bernabé's replacement as Lazio's falconer. According to Luigi Salomone of Il Tempo, President Lotito met with Monica, a young falconer from Tolfa and a dedicated Lazio fan who frequently supports the team from the Curva Nord. The meeting, which took place on Saturday afternoon in Formello, lasted over an hour and covered various topics, including the time required to train an eagle to fly again at the Stadio Olimpico.
Monica agreed to take on the role, but it's worth noting that Olympia, Lazio’s iconic eagle, is still owned by Bernabé, who remains in Formello recovering from surgery. However, Lotito seems unwilling to engage with Bernabé due to past issues, including damage to the club’s image and controversies involving the Spanish falconer.
In the meantime, Lotito is eager to resolve the matter quickly, aiming to bring Lazio's beloved symbol back to the fans. Updates on the situation are expected soon, as the club works toward the best solution for Olympia.
