Lazio remains active in the transfer market to bolster manager Baroni’s midfield options. Having already secured Ibrahimovic as their first winter signing, the club is now aiming for another acquisition, with Casadei currently the most talked-about target. However, Jacopo Fazzini’s name has also stayed on Lazio’s radar.

The Biancoceleste were on the verge of completing a deal for Fazzini, but it ultimately fell through. Speaking to DAZN before Inter-Empoli, Empoli CEO Rebecca Corsi shed light on the situation:

"The offer was fair, but we were struggling in terms of form. Jacopo is an Empoli product, and he’ll give his all for the club. We’re open to any offers, but in the meantime, he remains committed to Empoli."
