Castrovilli On The Verge Of Joining Monza After Brief Lazio Stint

Gaetano Castrovilli is preparing for a fresh start. According to transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio, the 1997-born midfielder has reached an agreement with Monza and is set to be officially announced as a new player for the Brianza club in the coming hours. Following his brief spell with Lazio, Castrovilli has opted to join the Lombard side, which sees him as a key addition to bolster their midfield.

Initially signed as a gamble last summer, Castrovilli’s time at Lazio did not go as planned. After six months marked by a lack of commitment and subpar fitness, the club is open to letting him go.

The midfielder has already arrived in Milan, where he will undergo routine medical examinations before signing his contract with Monza. He will join on loan, an option permitted within the January-to-July transfer window, despite his Lazio contract nearing its expiration. Once all formalities are completed and he passes his medical tests, the move will be made official. With this signing, Monza secures an experienced and technically gifted midfielder, ready to contribute for the remainder of the season.
