Castrovilli: "I’m Here And Focused On Lazio. I’m Not Distracted By Transfer Rumors. This Is A Big Opportunity For Me, And I Want To Make The Most Of It."

On Thursday, Lazio will face Real Sociedad in a Europa League match. After their big win against Verona, fans have seen the team play with determination and teamwork, much like in recent months. Despite many injuries, the club are actively working on transfers to strengthen the team for competitions like Serie A, the Europa League, and the Coppa Italia, where they will soon face Inter in the quarter-finals.

One area that needs improvement is the midfield. Cataldi left in August, and while Castrovilli joined as a replacement, he hasn’t been able to perform well. His knee surgery two months ago has kept him off the field. Castrovilli wasn’t included in Lazio’s UEFA list at the start of the season, so he won’t play against Real Sociedad. Along with other injured or unavailable players like Hysaj and Basic, his game time has been limited, and there’s talk of a possible transfer in January.

Lazio are considering moving Castrovilli to free up funds and a roster spot for players over 22. Recently, Hellas Verona showed interest in him, but the player wants to stay at Lazio.

According to Il Corriere della Sera, Castrovilli said: "I’m here and focused on Lazio. I’m not distracted by transfer rumors. This is a big opportunity for me, and I want to make the most of it."
