Rovella To Miss Napoli Clash Following Yellow Card In Parma Match

Lazio's encounter with Parma proved to be a challenging experience for Nicolo Rovella. What had the potential to be a standout day for the 22-year-old—highlighted by his first goal for the club—turned into a series of setbacks, ultimately ruling him out of Lazio's upcoming big match.

Rovella endured three major blows in the first half at the Ennio Tardini Stadium:

In just the 3rd minute, Rovella found the back of the net, but after a VAR review, referee Luca Zufferli ruled it out, citing a foul in the build-up.

Second bad luck was in the 6th minute, an attempted back-pass to Alessio Romagnoli went astray. The weak pass was intercepted by Dennis Man, who capitalized with a clinical finish past Ivan Provedel.

Then last in the 30th minute, Rovella committed a foul on Simon Sohm, earning a yellow card from referee Zufferli. This caution means he will be suspended for Lazio’s Serie A next match against Napoli.

It was an afternoon to forget for Rovella, whose string of misfortunes highlighted a challenging game for the young midfielder—a setback for both him and Lazio's midfield.
