Luiz Felipe Has Become A Target For Napoli And Juventus In The January Transfer Market

Luiz Felipe, the former Lazio defender, has emerged as a potential option in the January transfer market. The 1997-born center-back, recently released by Al Ittihad, is eager to return to competitive football. Among Serie A clubs, Napoli have shown significant interest in signing him.

Napoli face a defensive setback with Alessandro Buongiorno sidelined for over a month due to injury. Coach Antonio Conte and the club aim to find a suitable replacement to maintain Napoli’s push for the Scudetto. Luiz Felipe has become a leading candidate to fill the gap in their defense.

However, Juventus have also entered the picture. According to Sky Sport, Juventus's primary target is Antonio Silva from Benfica, but they are exploring alternatives, including Luiz Felipe.

The former Lazio defender presents an attractive low-cost option with several advantages. Being a free agent and already back in Italy, he offers familiarity with Serie A, having spent five seasons with Lazio and won three trophies. The only concern is his match fitness, as he has been away from European football for some time and may need to regain his form.
