Baroni: "This Is Our Lazio, A Team That Steps Up And Delivers Even In Tough Moments. That’s What The Fans Value Most. I’m Proud Of The Players; They Gave Their All, And I’m Happy."

Marco Baroni provided the latest updates on the condition of three Lazio players dealing with injuries ahead of this weekend's highly anticipated Derby Della Capitale against Roma. Lazio recently drew against Atalanta at home on Saturday night.

Although Lazio suffered a disappointing defeat in their previous home game against Inter Milan, they bounced back with a strong performance against Atalanta. Fisayo Dele-Bashiru gave Lazio an early lead, but a late equalizer from the visitors denied them victory. Despite this, Baroni expressed satisfaction with his team's efforts.

"An extraordinary performance—I have no doubt about it. This is our Lazio, a team that steps up and delivers even in tough moments. That’s what the fans value most. I’m proud of the players; they gave their all, and I’m happy. This is the right path, and we must keep working with commitment and dedication," Baroni told La Lazio Siamo Noi.

He continued, "We had two golden chances in the second half, but that happens. What matters most to me is maintaining our identity in matches like this against top teams."

Baroni then turned his focus to the upcoming derby against Roma, acknowledging its significance to the fans.

"We’ll be ready for the derby. It’s not like any other match—it’s a crucial one. We understand its importance, and we’ll be prepared to face it," he said.

However, Lazio may still be without three key players—Matias Vecino, Tijjani Noslin, and Pedro—due to injuries.

"I’m not sure yet. In my opinion, Vecino, Noslin, and Pedro might recover in time, but we’ll see. For now, I’m pleased with the players who have shown no fear in difficult situations," Baroni concluded.
