Baroni: "I Firmly Believe This Squad Has Significant Potential To Grow. While Challenges May Arise, We Are Committed To Maintaining Our Style Of Play And Moving Forward With Determination."
Lazio head coach Marco Baroni expressed his admiration for his squad after securing a spot in the next round of the Coppa Italia. Speaking to Mediaset, Baroni highlighted the contributions of Elseid Hysaj, who, despite not being part of the starting lineup, played a crucial role.
"Hysaj delivered an exceptional performance. Unfortunately, he wasn’t included in the matchday roster, but he continuously supported the team alongside Akpa and Basic. His on-field contribution was outstanding. I’m thrilled with how we played confidently and stayed true to our style from the beginning. Most importantly, we achieved our goal of advancing to the next round with a strong display," said Baroni.
Baroni also singled out Tijjani Noslin for special recognition, praising the striker's performance as he led the attack.
"I’ve worked with Noslin before, and when we discussed him with the management, his enthusiasm for the project was evident. We’re focused on rebuilding the team with young players, and Noslin has been a standout from the start. He’s versatile in attack, physically fit, and delivers consistent pressure with excellent movement. He played exceptionally well today, worked tirelessly, and is always eager to improve. We’ll give him the time and opportunities to develop further," Baroni added.
Baroni shared his confidence in Lazio’s continued progress, citing the players' enthusiasm and dedication.
"From the very first training session, I noticed the team’s passion and willingness to embrace my ideas, which has been incredibly rewarding as a coach. I firmly believe this squad has significant potential to grow. Our focus is on building a solid foundation for the younger players to mature into well-rounded professionals. While challenges may arise, we are committed to maintaining our style of play and moving forward with determination," he concluded.
