Rovella Returns To Training Ahead Of Cagliari Clash

Lazio received a boost ahead of their Monday evening match against Cagliari, as key midfielder Nicolo Rovella has made a swift recovery from a muscle injury and returned to training.

The 22-year-old midfielder missed Thursday’s Serie A game against Como due to an injury sustained in training but has now resumed practice with his teammates. Lazio secured an impressive 5-1 win in that match, despite Rovella’s absence. Still, he remains an essential player in coach Marco Baroni's midfield lineup, making his return welcome news for the team. According to LaLazioSiamoNoi, Rovella appears ready to start in the upcoming game.

Meanwhile, Patric missed Saturday's training, and Matteo Guendouzi trained separately as the staff monitored his recovery from a toe injury sustained on international duty. Captain Mattia Zaccagni also hasn’t trained fully, as he continues to recover from a digestive issue that has sidelined him for two games.

Additionally, Taty Castellanos has yet to participate fully in training, indicating he might be benched for Monday, with Boulaye Dia likely to start instead. The report adds that Samuel Gigot and Alessio Romagnoli are contenders for starting positions, along with Manuel Lazzari, who recently returned from injury and played briefly as a substitute on Thursday.
