[Official] FIGC Approve Serie A's Early Transfer Window For 2025 FIFA Club World Cup

The FIGC (Italian Football Federation) has approved FIFA's proposal to introduce an additional transfer window to accommodate the new format of the summer FIFA Club World Cup. Serie A requested this special window, scheduled from June 1 to June 10, 2025, to allow clubs participating in the tournament, such as Inter and Juventus, to sign and register new players early for the 2025/26 season. This adjustment ensures these players will be eligible for the competition, which kicks off on June 15, 2025.

With the FIGC's approval, the summer transfer market will open one month earlier than usual. This extraordinary window is tailored for the teams competing in the Club World Cup, providing them the opportunity to strengthen their squads before the tournament begins in the United States. The event, running from June 15 to July 13, 2025, will feature 32 top teams from across six international confederations: AFC, CAF, Concacaf, CONMEBOL, OFC, and UEFA.

Europe will be represented by 12 teams, including four Champions League winners and eight based on rankings, ensuring a competitive lineup for this revamped global competition.
