Lotito: "I Have Renewed Over Half The Team, Letting Go Of Those Who Felt They Had Nothing More To Give To The Club. We've Added Players Who Are Proud To Belong Here, Who Want To Win, Inspire, Entertain, And Bring Excitement."
After Lazio's 3-0 victory over Bologna at the Olimpico, club president Claudio Lotito spoke to Lazio Style Channel, sharing his thoughts on the team's progress and broader initiatives.
"This spirit has allowed us to embark on a new path filled with enthusiasm and joy, inspiring our fans and making them proud to support Lazio," Lotito stated. "We dedicate broadcasts twice a week to our foundation and have begun work on the Academy to nurture future players, focusing not only on their athletic development but also on their cultural and mental growth. Alongside this, we are building a school and a church to cultivate physical, mental, and spiritual well-being for the future."
Lotito emphasized a restructuring process aimed at creating stability within the club by bringing in individuals who see Lazio as a destination and take pride in being part of its world. "I have renewed over half the team, letting go of those who felt they had nothing more to give to the club. We've added players who are proud to belong here, who want to win, inspire, entertain, and bring excitement. We're working tirelessly to uphold Olympic values. In ancient Greece, sport was paramount—even wars paused for it. Football must serve a purpose; it should educate, inspire, and use its media influence to bring smiles, even to those facing life's challenges."
He concluded by highlighting the team’s unity and commitment: "The players understand this mission and are happy together. We aim to continue with determination and humility."
