Lazio Stars Castellanos And Isaksen Rejoin National Teams After Impressive Season Starts
Next weekend marks the final Serie A matchday before another international break. Several Lazio players have been selected to represent their national teams, including Castellanos and Isaksen.
Castellanos earned his spot through impressive performances and goals, regaining the attention of Argentina's coach Scaloni, who had previously overlooked him in favor of other forwards. Now, with upcoming matches against Paraguay and Peru, Argentina has decided to bring Castellanos back, allowing him to wear the Albiceleste jersey once again. Since the start of the season, Castellanos has showcased remarkable growth, tallying seven goals and four assists in just thirteen games across Serie A and the Europa League—already surpassing his contributions from the previous season. This consistency and improvement have led Scaloni to recall him for national duty.
Meanwhile, Denmark has also announced their squad for the Nations League, where they will face Spain on Friday, the 15th, and Serbia on Monday, the 18th. Among those selected is Lazio’s Gustav Isaksen. The Biancoceleste winger, born in 2001, continues to make strides, having recently scored his first goal of the season for Denmark in their match against Switzerland, where he was also named Player of the Match.
