Lazio Set To Meet With Giuffredi To Discuss January Transfers For Hysaj And Folorunsho
Lazio are reportedly set to meet with the agent of Napoli midfielder Michael Folorunsho, who has long been a target for Marco Baroni's squad but has yet to join them.
Folorunsho, who began his career with Lazio before moving on, joined Napoli in 2019 but has mostly been on loan, recently impressing in Serie A with Hellas Verona under Baroni’s management. Lazio aimed to bring him back last summer but couldn’t reach a deal with Napoli. Since signing a new contract with them, Folorunsho has barely played, making only three substitute appearances in Serie A under Antonio Conte.
According to Il Messaggero, Lazio now hopes to secure Folorunsho in the upcoming January transfer window, as they still lack a reliable midfielder. Gaetano Castrovilli is facing fitness issues, and Fisayo Dele-Bashiru hasn’t fully met expectations.
A meeting is reportedly scheduled in the coming weeks with agent Mario Giuffredi, who also represents Lazio players Mattia Zaccagni and Elseid Hysaj. The focus will be on Folorunsho’s potential transfer. With his strong rapport with Baroni and status as a Lazio academy graduate, Folorunsho is seen as an ideal fit for the midfield without needing to replace an existing player.
