Lotito: "Since I Became President, Roma Have Always Finished Behind Us In The League, Except Last Season. Roma Aren’t My Concern—I Focus On My Own Club."
Lazio President Claudio Lotito has shared strong remarks on his club’s progress and their rivalry with Roma. He talked about Lazio’s recent form, accomplishments under his leadership, and their future goals.
Reflecting on the team’s current performance, Lotito said, "I’m not making statements against the coach or players… the team’s progress speaks for themselves, quieting critics. We’re staying grounded with humility, determination, and teamwork, game by game."
On his leadership of the Biancoceleste, Lotito proudly mentioned the club's transformation: "The club once had debts of 550 million, but now has a modern sports center. I’m even planning a special documentary about it. After Juventus, we’ve won the most trophies—seven in total. We’ve achieved something significant."
He couldn’t resist addressing their city rivals, the Giallorossi: "Since I became president, Roma have always finished behind us in the league, except last season. The trophies tell the story. Roma aren’t my concern—I focus on my own club."
Looking ahead, Lotito is hopeful: "New targets? Absolutely. Money matters, but it isn’t everything; without it, you don’t win. Atalanta won the Europa League, but we are the better-prepared team."
