[Serie A] Torino - Lazio = 2 - 3
Lazio returned to winning ways with a 3-2 victory over Serie A leaders Torino, in an exciting match that saw goals from Matteo Guendouzi, Boulaye Dia, and Tijjani Noslin.
Torino entered the weekend at the top of the Serie A standings, unbeaten with three wins and two draws, despite their recent Coppa Italia elimination by Empoli.
Lazio took an early lead when Nuno Tavares made a run down the left, delivering a cross for Guendouzi to finish from inside the box. It was Tavares' fourth assist in four Serie A matches.
The score stayed 0-1 through halftime. In the second half, Lazio extended their advantage at the hour mark, with Gustav Isaksen setting up Dia to score from 12 yards out.
Torino responded with a goal from Che Adams—his third in three matches—following a combination play by Ilic and Vlasic down the left, leading to a precise finish from the edge of the box.
Granata coach Paolo Vanoli was sent off for dissent, and Adams narrowly missed another chance, but substitute Noslin scored for Lazio just 30 seconds after coming onto the pitch.
Shortly after, Torino pulled one back when Adam Masina’s free-kick was met by Saul Coco’s acrobatic volley from 15 yards, beating Lazio goalkeeper Provedel. However, Torino couldn't find an equalizer, and Lazio handed them their first Serie A defeat.
