Lazio Consider Free Agent Yusuf Yazıcı To Strengthen Midfield Post-Transfer Window

The transfer market officially closed on Friday, August 30, but the situation regarding free agents remains open. Lazio might still make a final move despite the transfer window being shut. According to the L'Équipe, the Biancoceleste have begun negotiations with Yusuf Yazıcı, a midfielder recently released by Lille, who was already on Lazio's radar back in 2018 when Milinkovic-Savic's future at the club was uncertain.

Yusuf Yazıcı, a Turkish midfielder born in 1997, is a left-footed attacking player known for his strong individual technique. Quick and proficient in ball control, the former Trabzonspor player appeared in 42 matches for Lille last season across all competitions, registering 12 goals and 4 assists. Now a free agent, Yazıcı could potentially bolster Lazio's midfield.

The French newspaper reports that Lazio are seeking to strengthen their midfield, and even though the transfer market closed on Friday evening, signing a free agent like Yazıcı could be an ideal solution. Lazio appear keen to seize this opportunity to provide Baroni with more quality in midfield, particularly in the attacking midfield role, with the 27-year-old. However, Lazio may face competition from Olympiacos for his signature.
