Baroni: "The Team Are Improving, And I’ve Found A Dedicated Group That Have Sped Up The Integration Of New Players. Hellas Verona Are In Excellent Physical Shape, And I Know Them Well. I’m Eager To Get Back To Work And Prepare For Our Upcoming Matches."
In an interview with Radio Serie A, Marco Baroni discussed Nuno Tavares following his impressive debut against Milan. The Fiorentina coach praised Tavares' potential and highlighted his significance to the team:
"Tavares is a young player with tremendous potential, and it’s no surprise he was with Arsenal. That said, we need to carve out a path for him here. He performed excellently against Milan. We had been waiting for him because he arrived with a minor issue that kept him sidelined. His last match was back in February, but I’m certain we’ll create the right environment for him to thrive because he has incredible potential."
Baroni also commented on Lazio’s roster and upcoming matches, emphasizing the team’s progress and future prospects. He acknowledged the importance of recent meetings with referees and discussed the club’s defeat against Udinese:
"Referee meetings are beneficial, helping us understand certain dynamics. We’ve made significant changes by bringing in young, promising players. The team are improving, and I’ve found a dedicated group that have sped up the integration of new players. We're focused on making further progress, though we’ve had a break with many players away on international duty. I’m eager to get back to work and prepare for our upcoming matches."
He stressed the importance of team unity, saying:
"We’re building from the collective effort. When both individual and team performances come together, it compensates for areas that may not be working perfectly. This collective spirit, along with active participation and unity, is crucial. I’m in a special place, surrounded by history and incredible fans. The team understands the commitment and opportunity before us, and we’re all focused on the work."
Looking ahead to the next match, Baroni remarked:
"Hellas Verona are in excellent physical shape, and I know them well. They pose a real threat, so we need to be at our best. I’m looking forward to having our international players return and preparing for what will be a challenging match."
