Samuel Gigot Arrives In Rome To Complete Lazio Move

Samuel Gigot is on the verge of becoming a Lazio player following swift negotiations that appear to be nearing completion. Lazio is set to part ways with Nicolò Casale, who will join Bologna on a paid loan with a conditional obligation to buy, paving the way for Gigot, the former Marseille center-back, to arrive at Formello.

The defender landed at Fiumicino Airport just minutes ago on a direct flight from Marseille. Now, the only step left is the official announcement from the club. Gigot will undergo medical tests in the next few hours before signing a contract that will keep him with Lazio until 2026, with an option to extend until 2027.

As reported by La Lazio Siamo Noi, Lazio will pay 3 million euros to Marseille for the transfer. The player, holding his son in his arms, made no statement upon arrival. His new journey with Lazio has begun, making him one of the final additions in this transfer window, which officially closes at midnight between August 30 and 31.
