Lazio Move To Finalize Boulaye Dia Transfer After Agreement With Salernitana
Lazio are reportedly arranging a meeting with Boulaye Dia's agent after finalizing a deal with Salernitana for the player's transfer. Marco Baroni’s team remain hopeful of securing the striker's move to the Italian capital this summer to strengthen their attack following Ciro Immobile's departure.
The Italian side are working on terms with Dia's agent after agreeing with Salernitana on a transfer that includes an initial loan with a €10 million purchase option plus bonuses, according to Il Corriere dello Sport. Lazio see the 27-year-old French-Senegalese striker as a potential alternative for Taty Castellanos, while Tijjani Noslin is expected to be repositioned to the wing.
The next step is for Lazio to finalize personal terms with Dia’s agent. Gianluca Di Marzio reports that the club has scheduled a meeting with Dia's representative, so it's still uncertain if the transfer will proceed.
If the deal goes through, Dia would earn around €1.2 million per year. The former Villarreal forward joined Salernitana in 2022 and had an impressive debut season in Serie A, but his team faced a tough 2023/24 season, resulting in relegation to Serie B.
