Lazio Consider Reacquiring Folorunsho As Napoli Look To Sell Him

When thinking of Marco Baroni's Hellas Verona, Michael Folorunsho stands out. The 1998-born midfielder impressed on loan with the Scaligeri last season, earning a call-up from Spalletti for the European Championship in Germany. It was a significant year for a player well-known to Lazio fans in Rome, where he developed in the Biancoceleste youth sector before leaving in 2017. His journey began with Virtus Francavilla and led to his acquisition by Napoli within six years.

Currently, despite his contract renewal, there's no place for him in Napoli's squad under Conte, who requires different midfielders. Therefore, De Laurentiis is open to offers for his sale. Lazio fans have been eager for his return, and Baroni's presence as coach could facilitate negotiations, especially since he qualifies for the club's homegrown player list.

Formello has evaluated this advantage, and according to Alfredo Pedullà, Lazio has recently inquired about a potential transfer. However, Lazio isn't the only club interested. Despite earlier links to Atalanta, which ended after Scamacca's injury redirected their funds to a striker, Fiorentina has also shown strong interest. Pedullà notes his valuation is around 12 million euros, plus potential bonuses.
