[Friendly] Southampton - Lazio = 1 - 1

Marco Baroni's team are set for their sixth friendly match after a 2-0 win against Frosinone. They will face the Saints at St Mary's Stadium, aiming to apply recent training and assess the team's athletic and tactical condition. Ahead of the match, Baroni has Gila, Castrovilli, and Tavares available on the bench, but Nicolò Rovella may miss out due to an ankle injury, with Danilo Cataldi starting in his place.

The Saints, preparing for the Premier League, hosted Lazio at St Mary's, marking their return to the stadium after last season's promotion.

Southampton played to a 1-1 draw with Lazio on Wednesday evening, highlighted by a brawl between the players.

Russell Martin's squad took an early lead five minutes in when Carlos Alcaraz assisted newcomer Ben Brereton Diaz for a goal. Lazio equalized in the 32nd minute with a spectacular strike from Taty Castellanos.

The match ended in a 1-1 draw, with both teams unable to find the net after each side was reduced to 10 men because of the brawl.
