Baroni: "We Are Working Hard, And The Team Is Fully Engaged. Some Still Need To Improve, But Others Gave Me Positive Responses."

Lazio triumphed over Frosinone in a friendly match, winning 2-0 with decisive goals from Vecino and Zaccagni. Marco Baroni shared his thoughts on the match in an interview with the official Biancoceleste radio. Here are his comments:

"We are working hard, and the team is fully engaged. Today we had a good test; we performed well in the first 20-30 minutes. I wanted to see the players who have had less game time. Some still need to improve, but others gave me positive responses."

Baroni also mentioned the physicality of Frosinone's approach, which led him to rotate the squad to avoid injuries.

"Between the first and second half, despite being provoked, there were two fouls that risked serious injury. There was some nervousness, so I decided not to put some players back in to avoid potential fouls. We had to rotate the squad, and I preferred to make this choice."

He expressed his satisfaction with the fans' support and emphasized the importance of exciting and engaging them.

"I am very happy, and right now, my focus and that of the staff is on giving everything to this team and the fans. I always tell the players that there is no team without fans. We must inspire and involve them more through our team attitudes."

Additionally, Baroni stated that Dele-Bashiru needs to improve his play and praised Vecino's professional and personal qualities.

"Dele-Bashiru needs to improve his work between the lines and handle the ball like Tchaouna."

"Vecino? I am pleased. There are players with both professional and human qualities, and Vecino is one of them. We need everyone to be at their best."
