Barcelona Reject Lazio's €20 Million Bid For Young Forward Vitor Roque

Barcelona have reportedly turned down Lazio's bid to sign young talent Vitor Roque. Lazio is seeking to bolster their squad with young players this summer, and Roque is among their targets.

Despite Barcelona's willingness to let the young striker go just six months after his debut, they want to recoup the money spent on his acquisition last year. According to Corriere dello Sport, Barcelona rejected Lazio's €20 million offer for 50 percent of Roque's rights, which would have allowed the Catalan club to receive half the profit from any future sale.

Barcelona have set a €40 million price tag for a permanent transfer, a sum that Lazio cannot afford. This price was previously agreed upon with Saudi Arabian club Al Hilal, but Roque and his agent declined the move despite the high wages on offer.

Roque is eager to secure a place in Hansi Flick's team but is aware that Barcelona plan to sell him. The club will not register the 19-year-old if there is no room in their wage bill by the end of the transfer window.

Roque's future remains uncertain, and although he has not been with Barcelona for long, it appears unlikely he will leave unless the club's financial demands are met.
