Venezia And Parma Have Reached Out To Lazio For Information On Basic
Two Serie A clubs are reportedly in discussions with Lazio about acquiring midfielder Toma Basic, who is currently out of favor. Lazio have been active in the transfer market this summer, adding new players and now shifting focus to offloading those who are surplus to requirements.
The Aquile have strengthened Marco Baroni's squad by signing Loum Tchaouna, Tijjani Noslin, Fisayo Dele-Bashiru, Gaetano Castrovilli, and Nuno Tavares. They are now seeking to add a new striker and possibly another midfielder.
To streamline the squad and reduce the wage bill, Lazio aim to make room for new players. Among those considered for departure are Mohamed Fares, Andre Anderson, Matteo Cancellieri, Jean-Daniel Akpa Akpro, and Toma Basic.
According to Il Tempo, newly promoted Serie A clubs Venezia and Parma have reached out to the Biancoceleste for information on Basic, who is not part of Marco Baroni's plans in Rome. The 27-year-old midfielder, under contract until June 2026, has also caught the attention of a French club.
Basic spent the latter half of the season on loan at Salernitana, where he logged 1,166 minutes of play across 15 matches.
