[Official] Tavares Has Arrived In Auronzo To Join His New Team's Training Camp
Lazio have confirmed the signing of Nuno Tavares. The news was made on Sunday through the club's social media channels. While the official announcement is still pending, Nuno Tavares is now a Lazio player.
The specifics of the deal haven't been disclosed, but the Italian team shared a video of the Portuguese player's arrival, during which he also signed shirts for fans.
After completing his medical exams and signing a five-year contract yesterday, Tavares arrived at the training camp in Auronzo di Cadore. He will begin training immediately with Marco Baroni, who was among those welcoming him. Although Tavares won't participate in today's friendly match against Auronzo, he is expected to train on the adjacent pitch, focusing on both athletic and technical exercises.
Tavares struggled to make an impact at Arsenal, where he played only 28 games during the 2021/22 season. The 24-year-old full-back was then loaned to Marseille and Nottingham Forest over the past two seasons. During his time at Nottingham Forest, Tavares made 12 appearances in the 2023/24 season, with eight in the Premier League and four in the FA Cup.
