[Official] Kamada Reunites With Glasner At Crystal Palace, Signs Two-Year Contract

Crystal Palace have secured the services of Japanese national team midfielder Daichi Kamada on a free transfer. Kamada signed a two-year contract with the Premier League club after departing Lazio to reunite with head coach Oliver Glasner.

Kamada and Glasner previously worked together at Eintracht Frankfurt, where they won the Europa League in the 2021/22 season, before both left the German club in the summer of 2023. Kamada spent a season in Serie A while Glasner took a break before joining Palace.

"I am thrilled to join Crystal Palace and to work again with Oliver, a coach I am familiar with," Kamada stated on the club's official website. "I look forward to challenging myself in the Premier League and hope we can achieve our goals together."

Kamada, 27, is Palace's second signing of the summer, following the acquisition of defender Chadi Riad.

In the summer of 2023, Kamada joined Lazio from Eintracht Frankfurt, signing a one-year contract with an option for a two-year extension, which he chose not to activate. During his time at Lazio, he made 29 league appearances, scoring two goals and providing two assists.
