Cabal's Transfer To Lazio Stalled Due To Numerous Players For His Position
Lazio have reportedly paused their pursuit of Hellas Verona's left-back, Juan Cabal, as they need to make room in their squad for a new player in that position. This delay has frustrated Hellas Verona, who were hoping to finalize the deal swiftly. Lazio have already completed three transfers shortly after the summer window opened, bringing in Tijjani Noslin from Hellas Verona, Loum Tchaouna from Salernitana, and Fisayo Dele-Bashiru from Hatayspor.
In recent weeks, Lazio have been eyeing Cabal, viewing him as a valuable addition to Marco Baroni's team due to uncertainties surrounding current left-back options, Elseid Hysaj and Luca Pellegrini.
Meanwhile, Hellas Verona are eager to close the deal and have received a competing offer from Ligue 1 club Stade Rennais. The 23-year-old Cabal has been with Verona for two seasons since his transfer from Atletico Nacional, making 34 appearances across all competitions for the Italian club.
