Baroni: "I Focus On What We Have, Not What's Missing. When The Team Fights, Helps Each Other, Sweats, And Shows No Fear On The Pitch, That's What Everyone Wants To See."
Lazio's new season kicked off with a press conference by Marco Baroni at the Formello sports center, where he introduced himself to the Lazio community. Baroni discussed his role in the transfer decisions that brought in Tchaouna, Noslin, Dele-Bashiru, and Munoz.
"I focus on what we have, not what's missing. We've welcomed young players, and I'm glad the president supports this rejuvenation process. We aim to enhance each player's performance within the collective, which is more valuable than any individual. My involvement has been complete, and I feel I've arrived at the right time. While some players have left, the president explained the reasons, and we're not pushing anyone out. We need players with passion and desire. This year, we're aiming for an important season, with a focus on having pairs for each role, and I look forward to working with the team on the field."
Baroni also outlined his objective for the next season:
"My goal is to improve on last year's performance. We have 47 games ahead, totaling over 5,000 minutes, and every player must give their best in each minute. The squad's depth is crucial."
Addressing the skepticism about his appointment, which some saw as a step down for Lazio, Baroni responded:
"Fan support is crucial, but the team must take the first step. When the team fights, helps each other, sweats, and shows no fear on the pitch, that's what everyone wants to see."
