André Anderson Set For Another Return To Salernitana

The management teams of Lazio and Salernitana are scheduled to meet tomorrow, with Salernitana aiming to bring André Anderson back for the upcoming Serie B season. Granata sporting director Gianluca Petrarchi and Biancoceleste sporting director Angelo Fabiani will discuss the future of the 1999-born midfielder, who is currently not in Coach Baroni's plans at Lazio. However, Salernitana's new coach, Giovanni Martusciello, who recently resigned from Lazio, seems keen to include Anderson in his squad. Martusciello, having previously coached Anderson at Lazio as Sarri's assistant, is determined to bring him to Salerno.

Anderson's potential return to Salernitana would mark his third stint with the club. He first joined on loan from Lazio during the 2018/2019 season, making 18 appearances and scoring two goals in Serie B. After returning to Lazio, he was loaned back to Salernitana for the 2020/2021 season, where he scored five goals in 28 appearances.

Anderson joined Lazio from Santos in the summer of 2018 but was immediately loaned to Salernitana. Upon returning, he managed only six appearances with Lazio, failing to showcase his potential. In the 2021/2022 season, he was used just four times, leading to underwhelming performances and pushing him towards another departure, as he is not part of Lazio's current technical plans.
