Newcastle And Aston Villa Persist In Pursuing Guendouzi From Lazio For Next Season

Newcastle and Aston Villa, two Premier League clubs, have expressed interest in Lazio's star midfielder, Matteo Guendouzi, who played a key role for the Italian club last season.

This summer, Lazio might face the departure of Guendouzi, as the French midfielder has caught the attention of Newcastle and Aston Villa, both looking to secure his services.

Previously, it was reported that Guendouzi had a strained relationship with Igor Tudor, who left Lazio after a brief three-month stint as coach. Despite this, a move this summer is still on the table for Guendouzi.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, new Lazio coach Marco Baroni is keen to retain Guendouzi, but the midfielder has yet to decide his future. While he feels valued at the club and has revitalized his career in Rome, the lure of returning to the Premier League remains strong.

Aston Villa has made a 25 million Euro offer for the former Arsenal player, and Newcastle is also reportedly interested. However, Lazio is hesitant to part with Guendouzi unless an offer of around 30 million Euros comes in and the player himself is willing to move.
