Lazio Decline To Sell Isaksen To Foreign Clubs This Summer, Despite Interest From Feyenoord

Eredivisie club Feyenoord are reportedly keen on acquiring Danish winger Gustav Isaksen from Lazio this summer. However, Lazio are unwilling to sell him to the Dutch team.

The 23-year-old Danish forward, who joined Lazio from FC Midtjylland last summer for around 12 million Euros, had a promising debut season in Rome, scoring three goals and providing four assists in 37 appearances.

Recently, Lazio have been active in the summer transfer market and has been negotiating the transfer of Calvin Stengs with Feyenoord. During these discussions, Feyenoord expressed their interest in Isaksen multiple times.

According to Il Messaggero, Lazio will not sell Isaksen to Feyenoord or any other foreign club this summer due to the benefits of the Growth Decree, which grants tax breaks that would be lost if he is sold abroad. This financial consideration makes it more advantageous for Lazio to either keep Isaksen or transfer him to another Serie A club.

Thus, Isaksen is likely to stay at Formello or move to another Italian team, making a transfer to the Netherlands improbable.
