Zola: "Lazio? Now, With Tudor In Charge, There Will Be A Transition Period, And Fans Will Need To Exhibit Patience As It Marks A Significant Change."

Gianfranco Zola provided an analysis of the current status of the top teams in Serie A, expressing his dissatisfaction particularly with Lazio.

With just eight Serie A matches remaining, there are limited certainties and numerous battles. Inter appears to be on course for their 20th Scudetto, while Milan has virtually secured their spot in the Champions League. However, the competition for the fourth spot and other European positions is intensifying as the season progresses.

Roma, led by De Rossi, trails the fourth-place Bologna by five points, fueling their hopes of reclaiming a Champions League spot and disrupting Bologna's aspirations. Additionally, Italy could secure a fifth European spot based on the final coefficient rankings.

In comments featured on page 15 of today's Gazzetta dello Sport, Zola expressed his disappointment with Lazio's performance this season.

"Lazio? I'm disappointed; I had higher expectations following last year's achievements. The issue arises when you sell a player like Milinkovic-Savic without a replacement; it's inevitable to experience disappointment.

"Milinkovic-Savic provided both playmaking abilities and goals. Now, with Tudor in charge, there will be a transition period, and fans will need to exhibit patience as it marks a significant change."
