Good News! Provedel's Recovery Is Improving And He Will Try To Return Against Juventus In The Second Leg Of The Coppa Italia Semifinals
Ivan Provedel is currently undergoing rehabilitation for an injury at Formello, with expectations high for his swift recovery and return to action within a month.
The 30-year-old Italian goalkeeper has been a standout performer for The Aquile since joining in August 2022. However, he suffered an ankle injury in the dying moments of a 3-2 defeat against Udinese on March 11, sidelining him for over a month.
In his absence, relatively unknown 22-year-old goalkeeper Christos Mandas stepped in during the 3-2 victory against Frosinone in Serie A. It remains uncertain whom the new Aquile coach Igor Tudor will select temporarily, considering Luigi Sepe is also an option.
According to Corriere dello Sport, Provedel's recovery progress is positive, targeting a comeback for the second leg of the Coppa Italia semi-final against Juventus on April 23.
Throughout the 2023/24 season, Provedel has amassed 13 clean sheets and conceded 44 goals across 38 appearances in all competitions.
