Sarri: "If We Could Replicate The Second Half Performance From Today And The First Half Against Bologna In All Our Matches, Our League Position Would Be Different."
Here are Sarri's remarks in the post-match press conference to the official Biancoceleste microphones following the Torino - Lazio game:
"In the first half, we faced considerable pressure from them, and we also contributed to it with some careless turnovers. I warned the team at halftime that as time went on, they would tire and concede opportunities. Our dominance was complete in the second half, despite the 0-0 scoreline at halftime."
"As for the upcoming away game against Fiorentina, I haven't checked the standings. Every match for us is crucial; we're solely focused on the present. The importance of the game will become evident in due course."
"If we could replicate the second-half performance from today and the first half against Bologna in all our matches, our league position would be different. Our inability to do so might be one of our limitations. Additionally, we felt hard done by in the Bologna game, where we were punished disproportionately compared to our mistakes."
"In terms of absentees, I'm unsure. Unfortunately, we may have lost more players today. Hysaj experienced issues with his rectus femoris, Gila is suspended, and Zaccagni felt discomfort after training. We're operating on a thin margin in certain areas, and the risk is that if we don't manage these absences well, we'll eventually suffer for them."
