Sarri: "The Match Was Challenging And Sometimes It Was Ugly. The Players' Response To The Equalizer Was A Source Of Satisfaction For Me."
After securing victories against Empoli, Frosinone, and Udinese, Lazio has seemingly regained their top form in Serie A. The Capital Eagles triumphed over their opponents at the Bluenergy Stadium, thanks to a remarkable free kick from left-back Luca Pellegrini and a goal from substitute midfielder Matias Vecino. This impressive performance allowed Lazio to claim three valuable points.
"The match was challenging and sometimes it was ugly, as we found ourselves on the pitch against a team that possessed superior physical strength," said Sarri via DAZN.
"The players' response to the equalizer was a source of satisfaction for me, as they displayed resilience and the right attitude, effectively limiting Udinese's opportunities."
Following Sandi Lovric's free kick, Udinese managed to secure a goal with an impressive strike from Walace. Unfortunately, Ivan Provedel was unable to anticipate it effectively. The coach expressed his dissatisfaction with the team's mentality at the beginning of the season and emphasized the importance of maintaining alertness even when concentration levels waver.
"We still need to figure out if this is our dimension or not. If we are the team that was seen last month, that would be fantastic, but we are still searching for our true identity."
