Martusciello: "Although We Are Playing Well, Our Inability To Score Goals Has Become A Significant Issue That Needs To Be Addressed. It Is Up To The Players To Contribute And Make It Happen."

Following the goalless draw between Lazio and Napoli in Serie A on Sunday evening at the Stadio Olimpico, Maurizio Sarri's assistant, Giovanni Martusciello, acknowledged the pressing issue of Lazio's goal-scoring deficiency and emphasized the need to find a solution.

Following a sudden and tragic death in his family, Maurizio Sarri promptly departed the stadium after the match, leaving his assistant coach to step in and represent him at the subsequent press conference.

"Although we are playing well, our inability to score goals has become a significant issue that needs to be addressed. I believe that by unlocking certain psychological mechanisms, the players will be able to navigate the game more effortlessly." Explained Martusciello as quoted by Football-Italia.

"Despite our expectations of victory, today's performance brings us happiness, as we view it not as a loss of two points but rather as a positive outcome."

"Regrettably, our tactical efforts can only go so far in terms of scoring goals; ultimately, it is up to the players to contribute and make it happen."

Lazio worked hard to get the perfect three points at the Stadio Olimpico, and they created more of a threat in front of goal. Taty Castellanos scored an acrobatic goal that was disallowed for offside, and his next chance was blocked by Napoli goalkeeper

However, the match ended goalless, a dismal result following a 3-0 loss to Inter in the Italian Super Cup semi-finals last week in Riyadh.
