Immobile Will Miss The Matches Against Napoli And Atalanta And Will Be Out For One Month
Lazio received unfortunate news as their dependable forward, Ciro Immobile, suffered an injury that will sideline him for a month. During their victorious match against Empoli, the 33-year-old athlete was forced to leave the field due to discomfort in his thigh, necessitating a substitution.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Immobile has sustained a significant injury to the semitendinosus muscle in his right thigh. Estimating the duration of recovery for such an injury is challenging, but the initial phase of treatment is expected to last between 15 to 20 days. It will take a minimum of one month for the striker to regain full fitness.
Tests were conducted at the Paidea clinic on Sunday (24/12), as confirmed by a statement from Lazio. The statement provided the following information:
"An examination revealed concerning damage to the semitendinosus muscle in the right thigh, which occurred during the match against Empoli. The athlete has commenced a specialized treatment regimen and will receive ongoing clinical supervision. Additional diagnostic tests will be conducted in the coming days to assess the expected duration of recovery."
Maurizio Sarri's team won at the Stadio Carlo Castellani thanks to two goals from Matteo Guendouzi and Mattia Zaccagni, but they will be without their star striker for some time. Immobile started the game but left early owing to discomfort from the injury.
Meanwhile, although The Aquile have a hard schedule ahead of them, including games against Napoli and Atalanta, Sarri is certain that the appropriate attacking form will be provided despite the absence of his star striker.
