Opta Predicts The Winner Of Serie A In 2023/24, With Lazio And Roma Are Not Considered
Opta, a renowned supercomputer, has revealed its forecast for the champions of the Italian League in the upcoming 2023/2024 season. The highest percentage was awarded to Inter Milan, while Salernitana was predicted to face relegation.
According to Opta's recent predictions of the victor of the Italian League this season, Inter Milan dominates with an impressive 83.3 percent winning rate. The data also suggests that the Nerazzurri are likely to clinch the first place, with only a mere 14.2 percent chance of being the runner-up, according to the summarized data.
The odds of Lautaro Martinez and his team finishing in third place are a mere 1.9 percent. If these predictions are accurate, Inter Milan will have earned their twentieth scudetto and will be entitled to add two stars to their jersey as a result of their past victories.
According to Opta, despite holding the record for the most Scudettos in Serie A history, Juventus is only given a 13.1 percent likelihood of winning. Nevertheless, they are viewed as the top contenders to finish in second place with a 52.3 percent probability.
Napoli, who won the Scudetto last season, had a winning rate of only 1.3 percent. Il Partenopei is even lower than AC Milan, which was assigned a 2.1 percent chance of finishing on the championship podium.
Meanwhile, with odds of 0 percent, the two teams from the capital, AS Roma and Lazio, are not favorites to win the Italian League this season. According to Opta, they were defeated by Atalanta, who had a 0.1 percent chance of winning. They predict that Lazio will finish sixth at the end of the season, with a chance of 19.4%.
Opta predicts Salernitana, who has not won until the 12th week, will be the first side confirmed to be relegated at the end of the season. They are expected to be relegated to Serie B with a likelihood of up to 49.4 percent.
After Salernitana, there are Hellas Verona, Cagliari, and Empoli, all of whom have a good chance of making it to Serie B.
