Due To Fatigue, Immobile May Miss The Game Against Atalanta
Lazio is concerned about Ciro Immobile's condition after he returned exhausted from the away encounter against Celtic on Wednesday evening in Glasgow.
There are hours of waiting at home in Lazio. However, there is concern over the physical state of Immobile who got fatigued from the match played against Celtic on Wednesday evening. The Biancoceleste captain has played in every match since the championship resumed, except for one where he came on as a substitute against Milan. In total, he has played for over 400 minutes in six matches. Although some fatigue is expected, the medical staff is hopeful that it is not something more serious.
Clinical tests will be conducted today on player number 17 to prevent any potential injuries. If the injury is more severe than anticipated, Immobile will be forced to miss not only Sunday's game against Atalanta but also the upcoming matches against Malta and England. Castellanos has been informed in advance that, should Immobile be absent, he will be starting in his place for the second consecutive league match following the game against Milan at San Siro.
