[Serie A] Napoli - Lazio = 1 - 2

After a lackluster start in the Italian Serie A 2023/2024, Lazio was able to secure their first win during their third giornata. The triumph held even greater significance due to its occurrence on the home turf of the defending champions, Napoli.

In their previous two matches, Lazio had faced losses both at home against Genoa (0-1) and in the away match against Lecce (1-2). Nevertheless, the Biancoceleste managed to turn their fortunes around and achieved a stunning victory over Napoli with a score of 2-1 at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium.

Both of Lazio's goals were scored by Luis Alberto in the 30th minute and Daichi Kamada in the 52nd minute.  While Napoli put up a strong fight and managed to score a response with Piotr Zielinski's goal in the 32nd minute.

During the match, Lazio experienced two instances where their goals were disallowed. Both Mattia Zaccagni and Matteo Guendouzi believed that they had successfully increased the lead of the visiting team. However, their goals were ultimately invalidated by VAR.

The results of the match made Lazio move up to 12th position in the standings with a collection of 3 points, while Napoli dropped to fourth position with a collection of 6 points.
